Market: Exhibition Space Worldwide

World exhibition space
2006 the world enjoyed 1062 venues with an indoor exhibition space of 27,6 million sqm (only fairgrounds with more than 5.000 sqm). Based on current, substantial plans, this will grow to 1104 venues with a capacity of 31,1 million sqm in 2010 according to the Union Foires Internationaux (ufi). Leading investors till 2010 will be by country Russia, USA and China. 48 venues have capacities exceeding 100.000 sqm each (2007).
Because of the ongoing investments in exhibition space, competition will remain fierce. Russia and China will level out development deficits.
