Furniture China 2011 post show report
Furniture China 2011 Hits New Record High!Furniture China 2011 was successfully concluded in Shanghai on 17 September, 2011. The exhibition lasted 4 four days, with 2,600 exhibitors, including 1,400 for home furniture, office furniture, kitchen & cabinet and furnishings at Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC); 750 for woodworking machinery and raw materials at Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center (SWEECC); and 450 for China National Furniture Expo at JSWB. What an amazing exhibition, with the a total exhibition space of 600,000 sqm!
As one of the biggest international furniture exhibitions in the world, Furniture China has already become the must-attend exhibition for the world furniture industry. Because of the yearly improvements of quality and quantity by the organizer, and the huge potential business markets of China and Asia, Furniture China 2011 has hits a new record high. This year the exhibition attracted 74,564 visitors, including 51,972 local visitors and 22,592 from overseas, an increase compared to last year is an increase of 9.74% and 50.33%, respectively.
22,592 international visitors purposely came to Shanghai for Furniture China.
In addition, these international visitors were from 155 countries & regions, consisting of 43.29% Asian (including the Middle East), 26.25% European, 11.31% North American, 8.79% Oceanic, 6.44% Latin American, 3.92% African.
As one of the biggest international furniture exhibitions in the world, Furniture China has already become the must-attend exhibition for the world furniture industry. Depending on the yearly improvements by the organizer, and the huge potential business markets of China and Asia, the visitors to Furniture China are getting more and more which are mainly the industry professionals and trade buyers from world furniture industry.
73.2% of the visitors were the decision makers, high grades and opinions were given by them 83.9% of the visitors were the trade visitors 74.05% of the visitors were satisfied with the quality & quantity of the displayed products
39.86% of the interviewed visitors were attending for the first time. The rest have visited the exhibition before, 23.36% of which has visited Furniture China more than 5 times 98.95% of the visitors stated that they consider coming again next year
86.23% of the visitors were happy and satisfied with the exhibition, whereby 31.16% of them rated ‘Very Good’, 55.07% rated ‘Good’
This year, FMC China 2011 staged in Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center (SWEECC) for the first time with larger exhibition space to display woodworking machinery and raw materials. The quantity and quality of visitors has been improved significantly. 30,327 visitors visited FMC China 2011, including 4,521 international visitors from 111 countries & regions. Moreover, 11,483 visitors from decision-maker levels attended ‘FMC Premium 2011’, a show for high-end suppliers of Furniture Components and Raw Materials.
Furniture China 2012 will be held for five days from 11 – 15 September, 2012.
