Focused Business Approach:

Professionals in the fashion and textile industry visiting Fashion Shanghai 2009, aimed at setting high international standards. The biggest feature of this year was an improvement of visitors’ quality meaning active attendance by important directors and the heads of each department. The exhibit office centre extended special convenience and care to the buyers of department stores or shopping mall in Shanghai or main area in China making it easier for the directors or designers who were in charge of foreign brand China. All this was arranged two months before the exhibition. Most of visitors held management positions with purchasing authority. The visitor profile included CEOs, General Managers, Corporate Executives, Marketing Directors, Managers, Merchandise Managers, Product Development Executives, Sourcing Executives, Manager and above all the designers. The exhibit saw an increase in the number of American and European buyers by 4% and 5% respectively. Going by this, Fashion Shanghai seems to be establishing itself as an international buying fair for outsourcing fabric, sewing and so on, including brands. This also explains the reason why thousands of fashion & textile industry executives, buyers and decision makers were present. Various sectors like Organic sector included S&Y Textile (organic fabric and shirt), Licheno (organic cotton inner wear), Heng Yuan Xiang (organic cotton wear).
