Unique product offering
Ambiente’s portfolio is one of a kind worldwide: it presents products for the table, kitchen and household, gift and decorative items, jewellery, home textiles, seasonal decorations as well as home and furnishing accessories.
Under its roof, the three leading international trade fairs Dining, Giving and Living come together. Living stands for exclusive living, furnishings and decorating. Its prestigious international exhibitors of furniture, home and furnishing accessories as well as home textiles set the standards in interior design. From the traditional to the modern, from the plain to the opulent, all tastes are represented. Buyers coming here find exactly the right individual living concepts and products for their customers.
Dining is the largest of the three specialist trade fairs, representing a uniquely extensive and international range of tableware, kitchen, household and eating and drinking products. Here, international companies marketing glass, porcelain, ceramics, cutlery and household products present their innovations and highlights for the upcoming business year. Right from the very first Ambiente, Dining quickly grew into the principal trade fair for this business sector. Giving showcases the finest gift ideas to international traders.
The leading international trade fair for gifts presents the entire product variety – from fast movers to elegant, one of a kind items. Innovations in gift items, stationery, leather goods, toys, arts and crafts, smoking accessories and candles can also be viewed there as can handcrafted glassware, fine textile prints and limited editions from fine manufacturers. Furthermore, Kids World showcases the latest and most original products for the younger generation. The glittering world of authentic and fashionable jewellery is all at Carat. Passage is the venue for buyers from the high-volume trading world. It is a firm feature of all three trade fairs where exhibitors from overseas present a large offering of home accessories, gift items and products for the table, kitchen and household.
Trends, design and inspiration
As an international industry meeting point, Ambiente annually stages countless special shows, award ceremonies and trends. It gives an overview of the most important consumer trends in the coming business year, presents new products and is an important source of inspiration for the trade.

Ambiente 2009
For dealers and buyers representing furnishing and furniture stores, large department stores, boutiques, galleries and lifestyle shops, Ambiente is an outstanding venue to gather information and a first-class order platform.
Ambiente 2010 with a new structure
In order to maintain its stable and successful position, the
concept behind any leading international trade fair requires
constant rethinking to ensure it dovetails with developments
in the market. The last few years have brought about many changes in consumer behaviour, which was also noticeable on the part of exhibitors. Many sectors grew while others declined. The overall result of this has been that the size structures of the exhibition halls at Ambiente have lost their effectiveness and seen a reduction in rented space as experienced by other trade fairs (cf. trade fair profile). In order to specifically react to changes in the industry and cater to exhibitors’ needs, Ambiente’s structure was overhauled. In 2010 this will be evident by a rotation of the fairgrounds by 180 degrees, with exhibitors from the western side moving to the east and vice versa. Visitors will now find the Dining fair in Halls 1 to 6, while Living and Giving have moved to the west. This improves the profiles of each of the trade fairs and makes allowance for changes in space needs brought about by altered ranges and distribution channels.
