There was substantial attention garnered by the Excite Show held at London this year. The trade event for the exhibition and event suppliers in UK had a new format as well as a shift in focus this year. The new name for the show taken up last year was in force to impart better impact this year too. The blow of recession has perhaps made it mandatory for people in all sectors to look at the organizational capacities of mega events also. Excite this year focused on creating better events with more business fulfillment. Techtextil Frankfurt 2009
Techtextil Frankfurt 2009 maintained its position as one of the leading world events in various types of textiles as well as textile technology. This biennial event was quite well-received this year despite the markets facing severe recession and the textile industry as a whole seeing considerable downturn. The event saw an 8% rise in exhibitor numbers and 2% rise in the number of trade visitors. The annual trade show of NeoCon, Chicago 2009 concluded recently in the middle of the last month. Like many other events, in these times of recession, NeoCon, World’s Trade Fair, too, was characterized by providing a platform for networking and learning. Domotex Asia/Chinafloor
Domotex Asia Chinafloor 2009 was concluded with high quality of visitors this year. The event also saw ample coverage in the local and international media. There was held the first International Flooring Awards. Many other new features formed the major highlights of the show. China being a highly export oriented market faced major setbacks in the recent times due to the recession. But this event, seems to have wiped tears for many, as the featured events brought back the focus to the Chinese goods that are considered both of high quality, as well as of low prices.
