Ambiente Italia

The first edition of Ambiente Italia was held in Rome this year in June. The organizers Messe Frankfurt Italia, were quite happy with the outcome of this new exhibition in their repertoire. The main attraction of this exhibition was its location in Rome, which was considered by many exhibitors as an excellent location to tap the Southern Italian and other Mediterranean region markets. There were organized several events providing innovative ideas for converting one business into another different one, which was very interesting in this time of recession as people are generally looking for solutions to better their business prospects. From 8th to 10th June, the Marketing+Services specialist marketing trade fair in Frankfurt/Main presented products, ideas, and proven solutions for greater marketing success as part of the Show+Sell theme. Domotex Asia/Chinafloor

Domotex Asia Chinafloor 2009 was concluded with high quality of visitors this year. The event also saw ample coverage in the local and international media. There was held the first International Flooring Awards. Many other new features formed the major highlights of the show. China being a highly export oriented market faced major setbacks in the recent times due to the recession. But this event, seems to have wiped tears for many, as the featured events brought back the focus to the Chinese goods that are considered both of high quality, as well as of low prices. Going by the Daily Worldwide Cotton Market Report May 02, 2009 (Global); nylon and polyester prices have shown a steep rise in China. Compared to the first quarter of the year, when the prices were very low. Such a rise can be handled by China’s textile industry by cutting its production costs in order to overcome the global economic crisis. Interstoff Asia gave centre stage to the eco-friendly and recycled fabrics, breathing fresh hope for the textile industry. Fashion Shanghai, one of the major events of the Shanghai International Fashion Cultural Festival, organized by the Shanghai Municipal City Government has gained a favorable reputation with overseas business people. China International Furniture Fair (Guangzhou)-CIFF 2009

The 23rd China International Furniture Fair (Guangzhou)-CIFF 2009 March was grand in its display. There were some new changes that were included in this year’s event. These gave a glimpse to the visitors of what to expect from the future events. These, while they gave a breath of fresh air to the event, also pointed out a specialty of this event, regarding its design inclination. The Chinese customers have always been oriented towards more contemporary styles and designs rather than promoting innovation. EXHIBITOR Show 2009

EXHIBITOR Show 2009 was a considerable success in terms of the numbers of attendees and good reviews from the press. Since this is an educational event, what people learn here and how they apply it to their respective industries is another story, which in all probability would be curiosity generating and quenching at the same time, but falls outside the purview of reporting for this event, at best. Seeing the bevy of engaged attendance and pulsating activity the extent of interest in the event was clear and also that the investment of some productive time in bringing better and enhanced results to businesses was still a leading preoccupation in this period of depression. WSA Show, Las Vegas, February 2009

WSA Show, Las Vegas, 2009 – the World Shoes + Accessories Show saw a drop in the visitors numbers by 18% this year, as was expected because of the recessionary economy but the show organizers interpreted it bravely as just a nominal plummet considering that the situations could be worse. This is quite true as there is considerable cost-cutting and layoffs in the strength of the buying staffs. Overall, the show was a success in providing a good platform of interaction to the buying and selling traders. A new look and feel was devised for the Feb show in order to give an idea about the future expectations from the show to the people. Read more
