INTERNORGA 2010 – investment of hotels picking up again
Investment is picking up again in the hotel and out-of-home market – that was one of the key signals at INTERNORGA 2010. INTERNORGA focussed in two of it`s eleven halls on more than 120 exhibitors presenting interiors for hotels like JAB, Paradies, Voglauer, Zieher, Villeroy & Boch, Zollner etc.

The 84th International Show for Hotel, Restaurant and Catering Business was held for 6 days at the Hamburg Fair site, closing on Wednesday 17 March. In that time, 1105 exhibitors from 28 nations presented their product innovations to more than 100,000 visitors from all parts of the world. INTERNORGA was fully booked. Alongside evident interest in investment, exhibitors were particularly pleased with the quality of visitors and the large number of new leads.
“We are very pleased with how it went,” said Bernd Aufderheide, President and CEO of Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH (HMC). “INTERNORGA has once again underscored its position as the most important trade show for the out-of-home market. It gives the industry real impulses.”

Torsten König, Managing Director Klaus König GmbH, a complete bathroom supplier exhibiting at INTERNORGA for the first time: Our expectations were entirely met. We had plenty of excellent leads – people who came to our stand showed very specific interest.”
Thomas Berndt, Project Director JAB Anstoetz: “It was evident that private hotels, who are our main target group, were very interested in investing again. The VAT reduction also had a positive influence on that.”
Bernd Wilkening, Managing Director Wilkening Spezialmöbelfabrik: “INTERNORGA continues to be the leading trade show. We had more visitors at our stand than the previous year, and more specific inquiries.” And, he added, 2010 was the 50th time the company exhibited at INTERNORGA.
Next INTERNORGA will be March, 18-23rd, 2011.
