Anyone active in the contract market will be heading for Contract Square at MoOD. A compact selection of the top contract quality products appearing at the trade fair will be presented here. MoOD is internationally acclaimed as the place-to-be for the contract market and aims to remain number 1 in this sector.

(C) MoOD
With over 50 exhibitors for whom the contract market represents over 40% of their turnover, it was high time to create a forum by and for specialists. Participants are selected based on their credentials and undoubted expertise. They bring a micro sample of their strongest contract products so that you, as building specifier, architect or interior designer, can find your way to the right exhibitor without unnecessary delay. A visit to MoOD just became even more efficient and informative!

Ragolle (BE) unveils Color Mix concept
With its intentionally daring Color Mix concept, Ragolle is stirring things up. The idea behind the new approach? Less is more! In other words, a limited number of themes with a wide range of combinable colours.

(C) Ragolle (B)
Floral and Colonial are two of the themes arriving on the market in a very diverse choice of colours. What makes the new Ragolle collection so different is the fact that the colours from each theme can be readily mixed with each other. One example is the checks and stripes, each creating a particular mood with their on trend colours, complemented by harmonising or contrasting accent colours. For its Color Mix concept Ragolle chose fabrics with natural appeal that nevertheless meet the strictest standards for fire safety and wear resistance. Tests are conducted in-house and often exceed the relevant European standards.

Carefree collection for the residential market at Alhambra (SP)
It is well established that the residential and contract markets impact on each other. Applications developed for the contract market, such as cleaning treatments, find their way into residential products to meet the equal public demand for easy maintenance.

(c) Alhambra
Alhambra International (Spain) acknowledges this trend by introducing a new ‘carefree’ collection, KAVANA, on to the market. This upholstery fabric was not developed specifically for the contract market but is very easy to maintain. It is also a colourful, youthful collection with a strong colour pallet and design. The KAVANA collection has, furthermore, been developed to be as natural as possible. For example, the design you see on the photo is a blend of cotton and rayon. Rayon is a regenerated cellulose fibre. Because it is produced from naturally occurring polymers, it is a semi-natural fibre, also known as art silk. It usually has a high lustre quality giving it a bright sheen. The Kavana collection will be presented at MoOD.

Rasch Textil (DE) shows handmade wall panels with Swarovski diamonds & pearls

(c) Rasch Textil
Swarovski beads continue to do very well on the international market and moreover are very popular in China and Russia, two markets in which the German Rasch Textil is going from strength to strength. The new collection is available as a classic wallpaper or as panels with a width of 3.20 m. The labourious production process makes this a high end wall covering aimed at more luxurious residential and contract applications worldwide. As a renowned player in the home furnishings sector, this is not a new challenge for Rasch. The company has been making textile wall coverings for over 50 years and has never enjoyed a more dynamic profile.
